Getting started
Reading the timelines
How the Drivers list and a driver's page draw a day by the hour.
The Drivers page has a Table | Timeline switch, and so does each driver's own page. A timeline shows time from left to right, so you can see at a glance who is doing what, and when.
Add a route right from it: right-click an empty spot on a driver's row (on a driver's own page: on a day) for two ways to do it — Add route, which opens the form with that driver, day and time already filled in, and Assign existing route…, which opens a small search box to pick one of your existing routes and put the driver straight on it, starting that day. Either way you come back to the timeline afterwards with a banner telling you whether the driver could be notified: they are told right away if their login is linked, or the banner says they have no login so you'll need to tell them another way. Right-clicking a route bar leaves your browser's normal menu alone. Neither option is offered on a day that has already gone by — a route can't start in the past.
- Drivers page, Timeline — the full 24 hours of one day across the page, with a row per driver; scroll the calendar left or right to see the rest of it (the driver column stays put). Times are labelled in 12-hour AM/PM form. Use the arrows, Today, or the date field to jump straight to any day, past or future. The Driver heading at the top of the left column is a drop-down with each driver's photo and a search box: pick a driver to show only them, or choose All drivers to see everyone again.
- A driver's own page, Timeline — that driver's week: a row per day, each also showing the full 24 hours (scroll to see it all). Use the arrows, Today, or the date field to jump to any week, so you can look back at what this driver ran in the past or ahead at what's assigned.
- Each bar is a route, drawn from its pick up to its drop off time and labelled with the route number, the vehicle and the times. A driver's routes follow one another left to right, so they can't overlap.
- A red line marks the current time on today.
- A U.S. bank holiday is tagged with a 🎉 next to the date (and the row is tinted) so you can see it at a glance.
- Blue — under way (started today or earlier).
- Yellow — upcoming (starts after today).
- Grey, dashed — no vehicle yet, or the route has no times so it can't be placed.
- Red, with a warning sign — the driver is double-booked: two routes at the same time. Fix it on the routes concerned.
- Faded — the assignment has already ended.
Tip: Click a bar to open that route; click a driver's name to open the driver.
