Doing an inspection

Pre-trip and post-trip checklists from a driver's phone, including the optional photo on every item.

From My Day, tap Pre-trip inspection before you drive, and Post-trip inspection after the run. Both open the same kind of checklist — just a different one, set up by your company.

  1. Go through the checklist top to bottom. Tap Pass, Fail or N/A for each item.
  2. If you tap Fail, a note box appears — add a word or two on what's wrong if you can.
  3. Add a photo under any item if you want to — tap Add a photo (optional) and your phone's camera opens. The photo starts uploading straight away and a green tick shows when it's done (× takes it off). This works for every item, not only a failed one, and it's never required.
  4. Fill in the odometer and sign with your name, then Submit.
Every item gets its own optional photo button, whatever you answered.

What happens after you submit

  • A failed item becomes a defect automatically, with your note and photo attached — you don't need to report it again.
  • A failed critical item (marked with a red Critical badge) can take the bus out of service and notifies your managers right away.
  • Your inspection is saved under Recent inspections on My Day, and you can see it any time from there.

Tip: Nothing here is mandatory beyond answering each item — comments and photos are there to help the shop fix the right thing faster, never a requirement.
