Fuel

Fuel purchases, price per gallon, miles per gallon and cost per mile.

The Manage menu

Manage (top right): Log fuel, Import CSV, Export CSV, and Edit / Delete for ticked entries. Tick rows with the check box at the start of each row (the one in the header ticks the whole page). Export CSV downloads the list as it's filtered — or, with rows ticked, just those. Deleting removes the receipts too; vehicles' odometer readings aren't changed.

Fuel records each fill-up so you can see what fuel really costs.

  • The top shows Fuel cost, Avg price / gal, Fleet MPG and Fuel cost / mile for the dates you choose (use the From and To boxes).
  • The table shows Date, Vehicle, Station, Gallons, $ / gal, Total, Odometer, MPG and $ / mi. Search by vehicle; filter by fuel type.
  1. Press Log fuel.
  2. Choose the vehicle (its fuel type fills in and the current odometer is shown) and, optionally, the driver (choosing a vehicle fills in its driver).
  3. Enter the date, station, gallons, price per gallon (the total is worked out), odometer and how it was paid.
  4. Have the receipt? Under Receipt, press Choose file and pick a PDF or a photo (up to 15 MB) — it uploads straight away. When you edit an entry, Replace receipt swaps the one it has.
  5. Save fuel entry.

Import CSV loads many fill-ups at once; Export CSV downloads the list.

Tip: MPG is worked out from the odometer, so enter it every time.
