Words used in the app
Short definitions of the terms you'll see.
| Word | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Fleet # | The label you choose for a vehicle, like "Bus 101". |
| Car number (No.) | A permanent running number the app gives each vehicle (1, 2, 3 …). It never changes or repeats. |
| Assignment | This driver / this vehicle on this route from this date until this date. |
| Pick up / drop off time | When a route starts collecting students, and when it finishes dropping them off. |
| School start / end time | When the school day begins and ends (the bell times). |
| Current / Upcoming / Ended | The state of an assignment: under way today, still to start, or finished. |
| Work order (WO) | A repair job: what is wrong, who fixes it, the parts and labour, the cost. |
| Defect | A problem someone reported on a vehicle. Critical ones can take it out of service. |
| Inspection template | A checklist (pre-trip, DOT…) inspectors complete for a vehicle. |
| Compliance score | A 0–100 score of how well documents, drivers, inspections, maintenance and insurance are up to date. |
| Role | A set of permissions that decides what a person can see and do. |
| CSV | A simple spreadsheet file you can open in Excel or Google Sheets. |
| Audit log | The record of who changed what, and when. |
