Insurance

Policies, what they cover, their premiums and when they expire.

The Manage menu

Manage (top right): Add policy, Export CSV, and Edit / Delete for ticked policies. Tick rows with the check box at the start of each row (the one in the header ticks the whole page). Export CSV downloads the list as it's filtered — or, with rows ticked, just those. Deleting removes the certificate files too.

Insurance tracks every policy: the carrier (a vendor of type Insurance), the type (auto liability, physical damage, general liability, workers' comp, umbrella, other), what it covers (one vehicle, or the entire fleet), the premium, deductible, limit and the dates.

  • The top shows Active policies and Active premiums.
  • Filter by type and by status: Active, Expiring soon or Expired.
  • Attach the certificate of insurance on the policy form: press Choose file and pick a PDF or a photo (up to 15 MB) — it uploads straight away. On Edit, Replace certificate swaps it for a new one. You get reminders before a policy expires.
  1. Press Add insurance policy.
  2. Fill in the policy number, carrier, type, who it covers, dates and amounts.
  3. Save policy.
