Messaging dispatch and the office

The two conversations on My Day: chat about a specific route, and your private chat with the office.

My Day has two separate conversations — keep them apart, since the people who can read them differ.

  • Messages with dispatch (under each route in Today's routes) — about that one route: a delay, a stop change, anything time-sensitive. Anyone who can see that route on the office side can read it.
  • Messages from the office — a private chat between you and your company's staff, for anything else. No other driver can ever read it.

Either way: type in the box and press Send. A new message notifies the other side, and unread messages show on your notification bell.

Good to know: Route changes (a new route, a change to one you're on, a cancelled route, a different bus) are always sent to you as a notification too, even if your company turns other notifications off — see Notifications.

By text message (if your company has it switched on)

Some companies also send everything to your phone as a text: messages from the office and from dispatch, route changes and other notices. Reply to the text to answer — your reply appears in the same chat, marked by text. Reply STOP to stop the texts (START to get them again), or ask the office to switch them off.
