How it's worked out

  • Per hour: the minutes of each run (and the break, if you pay it) × the hourly rate.
  • Per shift: each run is one shift × the shift rate.
  • Week = day × days a week; school year = day × school days.

Is the time between runs paid?
It depends on your policy and your state's rules — tick the box to include it and see the difference.
What about overtime?
This calculator doesn't add overtime. Check federal and state wage rules for drivers who work over 40 hours a week.
